Ogaki Castle
[ About 5 minutes walk from the hotel ]
A castle that was the stronghold for the West Army in the battle of Sekigahara. The current castle was rebuilt in 1959, and the former main and secondary walls the castle have been turned into Ogaki Park. It is an elegant fully-painted, four-story castle with a four-tier roof and is the symbol of a castle town, Ogaki.

Oku no Hosomichi Musubi no Chi Memorial Hall

Ogaki is the final destination in a haiku poet, Matsuo Basho's Oku no Hosomichi. Oku no Hosomichi Musubi no Chi Memorial Hall is a general information center that introduces the connections between Basho and Ogaki and exhibits valuable resources and photos about the history and cultural properties regarding Haikai.
